To make the scarf pattern you have to trace around the scarf, onto proof paper. Using a pencil and 10 meters ruler. |
Afterwards cut out the pattern, then placed it onto any chosen material to make your scarf. |
Then folding the material lenghtways, after the next stage will be to sew the material together on the left hand side. |
To decorate the scarf, or say give it more style you have to make a loop, leaving two ends of fabric to accessorise. |
Now, you can accessorise your scarf. I've sewn on a button in the middle. |
I have decided to cover my scarf with jeans, to give the scarf a casual look. Firstly i roughly cut a piece of jeans to do that. |
The next stage is i have decided to manuplate material onto my scarf, using the piece of jeans i did cut out. As seen in this picture i have sewn on the jeans underneath one of the flaps. |
The jeans sew onto my scarf looks tacky and unprofessional, in this case i decided to make ruffles instead with recycling materlal. The ruffles are sewn onto the scarf. |
Before producing the ruffles you have to cut material at any length. |
Sewing the ruffles onto the scarf. |
Gather material while making the ruffle as shown. |
